This past Sunday, Deacon Whit Jackson gave us a profound reflection on what it means to bear false witness; but beyond that, he reminded us that amidst our deep brokenness and sin, God has provided freedom, identify and a Savior in the person of Jesus Christ. Join us this Sunday, as Elder Josh Conover wraps up our summer series in Exodus 20:17 , teaching on the final commandment - “You Shall Not Covet.”
Intro to Salvation and Baptism Class - Sunday, August 10th!
Interested in Taking the Next Step in Your Faith? Join us for our Intro to Salvation & Baptism Class this coming Sunday, August 10 at 11:15 AM. Whether you're new to the faith, have questions about salvation, or are considering baptism, this class is a great place to start. Come learn what it means to follow Jesus and take your next step in your spiritual journey.
Straight Street Next Week - August 13th and 15th!
On the second Wednesday and Friday of each month, our church serves alongside Straight Street, a ministry that focuses on showing the love of Jesus to the unhoused community of Downtown Orlando, by providing a warm meal daily at 530PM! In August, that falls on Wednesday the 13th and Friday the 15th! If you are interested in volunteering, reach out to our ministry coordinator Debbie Barron to learn more about serving here!
New Sermon Series: The Gospel of John! Sunday, August 17th!
This fall, we’re diving deep into one of the most profound and personal accounts of Jesus' life by studying the Gospel of John. Join us for our new sermon series titled "Light Revealed," beginning on Sunday, August 17th! We will explore the unique way the apostle John reveals Christ’s identity, His miracles and ultimately, His invitation for all of us to believe and follow Him.
Whether you’ve read John’s Gospel many times or are opening it for the first time, this series is designed to help you encounter Jesus in a fresh and life-giving way. You won’t want to miss a single week!
Refuge Women’s Gathering - Monday, August 18th!
Every 3rd Monday of each month we have our Refuge Women's Gathering! This is a great opportunity for the women of our church to come together for a time of fellowship and bible study! The next meeting will be on Monday, August 18th and will be hosted by Linda Reavis @ 2700 Willowgate Ave Orlando, FL 32822 starting at 7PM! (Make sure to bring your ID to show at the gate!) You won’t want to miss out!
Community Groups Re-Launch! August 18th-22nd!
We are excited for the relaunch of our community groups on the week of August 18th-22nd! At Refuge we believe discipleship happens in the context of community. We encourage you to join one of our Refuge community groups. They meet at various times and locations throughout Orlando, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Let's remain in community and encourage others to do so!
